Mix 1 cup of fine salt with 1 cup warm water. It’s optional but you can even add a little food coloring. Mix well and add 2 cups flour. Knead everything with your hands and form a ball. Let it rest for a few minutes and it’s ready! Pick the shape you want, a circle, a heart and use your child hand or/and foot to let their print in the dough. Think about adding the date for a beautiful memory.

After making, let dry at least 24 hours before baking maximum 100 degrees for 3 hours.

Ask your child to tell you a little bit more about the loved one you want him to make a gift for, what does he love about her, why does he/she makes him smile,  what is his favorite things to do with her/him… and help him create a beautiful poem your child will be able to read on Christmas day.

You can also add a white candle your kid will have customized previously. It’s such a precious moment when people tell you why they love you.
